One traditional guideline of kitchen design places the range, sink and refrigerator in a triangular formation to lessen unneeded movement and keep carefully the mostly used spaces within easy reach. The factors of the imaginary triangle don’t have to be the same period, but keep them between four and nine legs long for maximum efficiency. The range, refrigerator and sink may all be on different wall surfaces, or the range might be on one wall while the sink and the refrigerator talk about a wall, with the dishwasher in between often.
Plan gadgets and counter space first. Figure out where the sink, dishwasher, refrigerator and range will fit. Design a triangle pattern between your sink, refrigerator and stove, so that baking and cleanup easily work. Add a kitchen island ‐‐ either stationary or on rollers so that it can be moved. Plan to store heavy cookware in underneath of the island cabinet. Develop a counter work space of granite tiles or vinyl laminate for mixing and preparing foods.
